Real Madrid and Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr has already extended his stay at the club, amid PSG interest.
According to the Spanish news outlet Diario AS, Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr. has already committed to the team for the foreseeable future by signing a new deal that runs through 2027.
The article confirms that Real Madrid and the Brazilian signed and ratified their agreement throughout the summer. In actuality, the Brazilian was paid this season in accordance with the new contract that he signed in July.
All parties concerned must now merely choose a time for the official announcement. Real Madrid has two options for dealing with that.
They have two options for making it official: either as a single act, or with the other Brazilians on their roster, Rodrygo and Eder Militao, who are both expected to sign new, long-term contracts.
Given that Vinicius recently stated that he does not see himself leaving Real Madrid for another club anytime soon, the news should not come as a huge surprise.
The 22-year-old confirmed in an interview that he is content at Real Madrid, but he also made the cheeky remark that everyone wants to play in the English Premier League.
“It’s true that I’m really happy playing for Real Madrid, and I anticipate continuing my career here.
Of sure, playing in another league is beneficial, and I believe that every player aspires to play in the Premier League. But playing for Real Madrid has always been and still is my ambition,” he continued.
Vinicius joined Real Madrid in 2018 for an allegedly €46 million transfer price. The young Brazilian was paid €3 million per season as part of his original contract, and he never really griped about being one of the lower paid players.
However, his stock has surged following a phenomenal 2021/22 season, and Real Madrid is mindful of the vultures waiting to seize the moment. As a result, AS believes the team has given him a new contract that permits him to earn €8 million annually in order to prevent that.
The player is totally dedicated to the task at hand, in his opinion. Thus, by agreeing to a contract that lasts until 2027, he will remain with the team until he is 27 years old, at which point it is possible that he will have won at least one Ballon d’Or.
