Real Madrid and Manchester United suffer transfer blow with RB Leipzig close to agreeing deal for Benjamin Sesko.
Benjamin Sesko, a target for Manchester United, is reportedly on the verge of joining RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg.
Real Madrid are also interested in signing Benjamin Sesko, but the Spanish side are reluctant to make an offer for the striker talent.
After scoring 12 goals in 39 appearances for Austrian champions Salzburg, the 19-year-old striker has drawn interest from teams all around Europe.
Sesko is supposedly a target for United, while Chelsea and Liverpool are also rumored to be interested in signing the Slovenian international.
However, they are likely to lose out on the striker since RB Leipzig, a team in the Bundesliga, is close to finalizing a deal to sign him next summer.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that “RB Leipzig are closing on contract to sign Benjamin Sesko for summer 2023.”
“RB Salzburg turned down the request for this summer, but Sesko is content to stay for another year.
Sesko’s 2023 joining arrangement with Leipzig is now being finalized, and it may be completed this week.”
“As the team works to complete a deal for another striker, Chelsea forward Timo Werner, Leipzig has made a bid for Sesko.
