Real Madrid are interested in signing 21-year-old Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies and they are keeping tab ahead of the summer.
Alphonso Davies of Canada and Bayern Munich are being followed by Real Madrid.
The fullback, 21, is one of the brightest young prospects in European football. Since joining the German champions in 2018, he has made 127 appearances for Bayern and contributed 21 assists and five goals.
In his native Canada, he previously achieved success with the Vancouver Whitecaps, making his debut at the age of just 15.
Los Blancos are still interested in Davies despite a difficult experience over the previous few years in which he has struggled with injuries and been given a heart condition diagnosis.
The Canadian player, whose contract has an expiration date of 2025, is one of the players that Real Madrid are closely monitoring, according to Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz, who was speaking on MARCA’s Twich channel.

Felix responded to a tweet from a follower who recommended that Los Blancos should try to sign Joshua Kimmich by saying, “From Bayern, the name they have most in mind is Davies.”
It is rumored that the team believes they can improve at left-back. Although renowned Madrid defender Marcelo left in the summer, Ferland Mendy is currently the top choice in that position.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team has had a difficult start to the season and currently sits in fourth place in the Bundesliga, four points behind surprise early-season leaders Union Berlin. Davies has played 12 times for Bayern so far this season.
Additionally, the defender has 32 caps for Canada and a staggering 12 goals.
After the Maple Leafs qualified for their first World Cup since 1986, he will be expected to play a significant role in their efforts in Qatar this winter.
