Real Madrid could battle

Real Madrid could battle it out with Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Inter Milan defender.

Real Madrid have an incredible habit of pulling off brilliant free transfers. Last summer, they managed to bring in David Alaba when his term with Bayern Munich had run out.

And he has come in and established himself as one of the most significant parts of the squad and played a key role in their Champions League success last season.

This time around, the club were able to bring in Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer. Under Thomas Tuchel’s leadership, the German defender had made a name for himself as one of the best center backs in the world and had assisted Chelsea in winning the Champions League.

Real Madrid may have the chance to sign Milan Skriniar, another top defender, on a free transfer next summer.

Skriniar has been considered as one of the best centre-backs in Italy for a long time now and has been a key player for Inter Milan, as they have undergone a bit of a resurgence in recent years, even winning the Serie A title a couple of seasons back. His present term expires out next summer though and he is yet to agree to a new one.

Real Madrid should make a play for Inter Milan star next summer if he becomes a free agent.

It is safe to say that Skriniar is too good of a player to pass up on, if he does become available as a free agent.

The club already has Alaba, Rudiger, and Eder Militao vying for two spots in the starting XI, so it is a valid argument that there are already too many center backs.

But then, Alaba is someone who can easily slot in at left-back or even in the center of the park if the scenario calls for it.
