Real Madrid has made a decision not to renew players who, their contracts run out in the summer 2023.
A detailed report on the future of some of the Real Madrid players whose contracts at Santiago Bernabeu are about to expire has been released by the Spanish publication MARCA as part of an update on the Real Madrid team.
Mariano Diaz is on that lengthy list. According to a report, the former Lyon forward has lost favor at Real Madrid and won’t be given a contract extension.
This is not shocking considering that the forward has played in just 25 minutes of football this entire season. Even though Real Madrid is having trouble finding a solid replacement for star striker Karim Benzema, it seems Diaz has no chance in this current lineup.
Real Madrid is determined to get rid of the forward in the near future because his current contract expires at the end of the current campaign. In fact, the team might try to sell the player during the upcoming January transfer window.
Dani Ceballos is in the same situation. Despite being much more helpful than Diaz, the former Real Betis starlet hasn’t done enough to merit a new contract at Santiago Bernabeu. Consequently, the midfielder might be on the verge of leaving in the summer.
Ceballos has only been given two league starts so far this year. At one point, he served as a valuable reserve for Carlo Ancelotti, but a misfortune injury halted his advancement.
Despite being fully fit again, it doesn’t seem likely that the Spaniard will be selected before players like Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.
Sergio Arribas’ quick ascent to fame as a young player does not help his case either, and the team is still hoping to sign Jude Bellingham in the summer.
Ceballos is another Real Madrid player who could be on the verge of leaving Santiago Bernabeu soon because it seems unlikely that his contract will be renewed.
