Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga changes Real Madrid shirt number ahead of the new season as La Liga website confirmed.
For the upcoming season, Eduardo Camavinga has traded in his number 25 jersey for one bearing the number 16.
The 19-year-old, who previously played for former club Rennes while donning the number 10, had few alternatives when he joined Los Blancos last summer and ultimately chose the number 25, proudly donning it as he went on to make 40 appearances across all competitions.
However, a few more jerseys are now available as a result of a few Real Madrid players departing this summer, and AS reports that Camavinga has moved to the position of 16.
Last year, Luka Jovic wore that number, but he has since left for Fiorentina. It was given to Alvaro Odriozola during preseason, who is likely to move to the freshly open position 12 left by Marcelo.
Borja Mayoral, who left for Getafe this summer, James Rodriguez, Mateo Kovacic, and even Lucas Silva have all recently donned the 16 shirt.
The 18 shirt that Gareth Bale left behind has been grabbed by Aurelien Tchouameni, and Isco’s 22 shirt has been taken by Antonio Rudiger.
