Karim Benzema gave everything against Chelsea on Wednesday night and he gives his team an advantage ahead of the second leg.
Chelsea will travel to Spain for the second leg, but I don’t think that the blues will advance after the defeat at Stamford Bridge.

French forward Benzema won the man of the match after the game and I believe that it’s a well deserved award.
Karim Benzema – Excellent
He was the best player on the pitch last night and he did exactly what the fans wanted. Though he didn’t play the whole 90 minutes of the game.
Vinicius Junior – Solid
The Brazilian winger has formed a deadly duo with Karim Benzema and he showed quality once again.
He gave everything against Chelsea last night, looking very dangerous from the flank.
Courtois – Solid
He made a lot of crucial saves against Chelsea last night and Real Madrid couldn’t have done it without him. He was one of the best players on the pitch.
Federico Valverde – Good
The Uruguayan midfielder started the game from the right hand flank and he did wonders. Creating chances and making Clearances. He had a good game against Chelsea last night.
Toni Kroos – Good
Kroos was distributing passes to both flanks last night. He did extremely well against Chelsea. The German international had a good game at the Stamford Bridge.
Casemiro – Good
The Brazilian midfielder outplayed Jorginho and N’golo Kante last night. He did extremely well and the players couldn’t penetrate.
The team needs this kind of quality performance from him in the second half and I believe that he will deliver.
