Eden Hazard doesn't care

Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard doesn’t care about critics amid a possible departure from the club.

Eden Hazard, the captain of the Red Devils and a winger for Real Madrid, said at a news conference before Belgium’s FIFA World Cup 2022 match against Morocco that he is not disturbed by the criticism that has been leveled at him.

The 31-year-old has struggled with injuries and fitness troubles ever since joining Real Madrid in 2019, and as a result, he has never been able to perform to the standards set for him at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Hazard has had trouble getting into the game this year at Real Madrid, but despite his poor play, he is still a regular starter for Belgium.

There have been concerns over his position in Roberto Martinez’s lineup, but the former Chelsea star claims that he is unconcerned by the criticism and is still committed to giving his all for the squad.

“I didn’t perform well when I first arrived in Belgium either. I don’t mind criticism since it’s a part of game and people talk. I concentrate on the pitch Criticism will always exist. I try to concentrate on what I do on the field to support my team, and I always give it everything I’ve got,” he remarked (h/t MARCA).

Hazard believed that his fitness problems were resolved and that he only needed to continue playing to reach his peak performance levels.

Injury is a thing of the past. I just want to have fun on the field. It was a trying time for me two years ago. Now that I’m okay, I want to demonstrate my skill as a gamer. I’ll get better the more often I play. It is as it is, he continued.

The captain of Belgium also discussed the likelihood of his team winning the World Cup, claiming that four years prior, they had a much greater chance of doing so.

He did, however, add that the Red Devils still have a chance to win since Thibaut Courtois, the greatest goalkeeper, and Kevin De Bruyne, the finest player, are on their team.

“Four years ago, we had a better chance of winning. With the best goalie in the world, the best midfielder in the world, good attackers, and a very complete group, we still have the talent to win the World Cup, according to Hazard.

“We have the winning mindset; if we believe we can succeed, we will. It will be simpler for us to win the World Cup if I play well, so it’s up to me to contribute, score goals, and have fun.

Hazard played for a little over an hour in Belgium’s opening game against Canada and failed to make much of an impact. He will be hoping to fare better when his team face Morocco tomorrow, before taking on Croatia in their final group match.
