The departure of Miralem Pjanic will allow the club register the contract renewals of two key players.
Although the player trading market may still be open in certain nations, the transfer window may have ended in Spain last week. And in the upcoming days, it might open the door for one or two departures from Barcelona.
The UAE-based team Sharjah FC has offered Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic a three-year contract, according to earlier today’s Fabrizio Romano story.
Three players, including the 32-year-old, have not participated in a single minute of football for Barça this year. Even though the midfielder’s manager, Xavi Hernandez, stated that he would remain at the team, the Catalans are reportedly willing to approve of his departure.
Furthermore, according to a new report from Mundo Deportivo, should Pjanic leave, Barcelona could successfully register the contract extensions of Ronald Araujo and Gavi with La Liga.

Araujo extended his tenure at Spotify Camp Nou until the summer of 2026 by signing a new deal with Barcelona in April of this year. The 23-year-new old’s contract does not appear to have been incorporated and registered with La Liga, according to the report.
While Gavi is currently in the final year of his contract with the Catalan giants, other clubs in Europe are showing a lot of interest in him.
He has already agreed to extend his contract with Barça, while official confirmation of the same is still pending. He is still listed as a subsidiary player and not a member of the first team in the interim.
However, if Pjanic leaves, Barcelona will have enough salary mass to register the new contracts for Araujo and Gavi with La Liga. It remains to be seen if Pjanic will take Sharjah FC’s offer into consideration.
