Thomas Tuchel Slams Uncommitted Chelsea Players Who Are Considering Futures Following Arsenal Defeat.
Following their 4-0 loss to Arsenal, Thomas Tuchel believes players are considering leaving Chelsea rather than being loyal to the team.
Chelsea’s tour of the United States came to an abrupt end with a crushing loss as they prepared to depart for England on Sunday morning (UK).
The Camping World Stadium witnessed a miserable evening that brought to light Chelsea’s shortcomings and the areas that require significant improvement and attention before the Premier League opening against Everton in two weeks.
They appeared to be running behind Arsenal and still have one preseason game left, which is against Udinese the next week.
The Chelsea head coach identified those players who are thinking about their futures at Stamford Bridge and attributed it to mental dedication.

After the game, Tuchel said, “I witnessed an Arsenal squad that is mentally dedicated to a level of tiredness that we could not equal physically or emotionally because we have a lot of players who are thinking about leaving and looking at their choices.” I believe that is evident.
Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly are the only new additions to Tuchel’s squad so far this summer. He hopes to add more players, notably Jules Kounde from Sevilla.
To determine what is necessary, he has spoken with co-owner Todd Boehly, although his wishlist has not yet been entirely fulfilled.
“We had an urgent request for excellent players and a tremendous lot of quality players,” the 48-year-old continued.
“We have two fantastic players, without a doubt, but we aren’t as competitive as we could be, as you saw see today.”
Chelsea had a poor evening, therefore they will now return to London and start again to come up with ideas. Tuchel feels “hurt,” but he is confident that they can get through this trying time if they can come up with workable answers.
I think we deserved to lose, which is fair, because we were just not good enough, he concluded.
“What’s disturbing is that Arsenal showed much more physical and mental dedication than we did.
“We may counter that while it wasn’t our strongest lineup, they had theirs, and this is a small part of the explanation.
“I don’t recall losing twice in a row or by a score of 4-0 in preseason.
“I’m a big supporter of a good preseason, but not in the sense that it needs to predict a good season.
We are leaving right now for home, and on Tuesday, we must submit plans for getting back up and getting through this since it is painful right now.
