Toni Kroos reveals how close he was to joining English premier league side Manchester United in 2014, but the deal couldn’t go through.
Manchester United want to sign the German international during his time at Bayern Munich and he agreed to join the Red Devils.
Former Manchester United manager David Moyes spoke with him and the deal is almost done, but he is not a Man Utd player after all.

“I was close to Man United, yes. But that’s not how things turned out. I don’t have these what-if-thoughts, there are no real answers to them.”
Why he didn’t regret Madrid move: “One thing I’m certain of is that I probably wouldn’t have won the Champions League three times with Man United.”
Toni Kroos: “I knew beforehand that meeting David Moyes in person] Man Utd wanted me, and Moyes absolutely underlined that.”
“It was a really nice afternoon with very pleasant people. We talked a lot about United’s football plan, which convinced me.”
Manchester United is too big a club to be there for a year or two. This is not a club where you go to finish your career. You have to be there for three or four years and both the player and club must have a clear idea.”
