Toni Kroos reveals how close he was to joining Man Utd
“I was close to Man United, yes. But that’s not how things turned out. I don’t have these what-if-thoughts, there are no real answers to them.”
Why he didn’t regret Madrid move: “One thing I’m certain of is that I probably wouldn’t have won the Champions League three times with Man United.”
Toni Kroos: “I knew beforehand that meeting David Moyes in person] Man Utd wanted me, and Moyes absolutely underlined that.”
“It was a really nice afternoon with very pleasant people. We talked a lot about United’s football plan, which convinced me.”
