Two representatives from the Champions League champions and Real Madrid, the team that eliminated Pep Guardiola’s squad at the semi-final stage last season, are seated next to the Manchester City star.

Thibaut Courtois, Karim Benzema, and Kevin De Bruyne are the three players who have been shortlisted for the award.

The aforementioned team successfully completed the Champions League.

At the Etihad Stadium, there is undoubtedly more optimism that Manchester City will put up a strong fight for the most sought-after player in the professional game, especially in light of their summer hirings.

Erling Haaland, a former Borussia Dortmund striker, was the star signing of the summer for Etihad officials.

After bringing in the talented Norwegian player, Manchester City added goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno and Kalvin Phillips from the Bundesliga.

Club executives are anticipated to continue to be involved in the current summer market.
