Xavi might make five changes

When Barcelona takes on Inter Milan on the road at the Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday night, they will be looking to get back to winning ways in the UEFA Champions League.

The Catalans have already made their team for their journey to Italy public ahead of the encounter. Despite being predicted to be named on the list, injured midfielder Frenkie de Jong did not make the cut.

Due to injuries and to keep his key players fresh for the Inter match, the manager made significant lineup changes for Barça’s La Liga match against RCD Mallorca on Saturday night. Players like Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Franck Kessie, and Ansu Fati all received starts.

As of right now, according to Javi Miguel of AS, the Barcelona manager may make at least five alterations to the starting lineup that was used against Son Moix on Saturday night.

According to the trustworthy reporter, Eric Garcia will likely be called back into the starting for the match against the Nerazzurri. As Sergi Roberto is expected to replace Alejandro Balde at right-back in the starting lineup, the Spaniard will likely play center back.

Given that both Pique and Andreas Christensen did well against Mallorca, it will be intriguing to see if they are replaced by Garcia.

Additionally, Marcos Alonso is anticipated to get the start, replacing Alba, who had a rare opportunity over the weekend, at left-back.

On Saturday night, the management gave Pedri a break. But it was certain that, given his performance and value to the squad, he would return to the starting lineup against Inter Milan, perhaps at the expense of Franck Kessie.

The final adjustment, according to Javi Miguel, is that Xavi will give Raphinha the start. Ansu Fati, who earned just his second start of the year against Mallorca on Saturday, will probably be moved to the bench as a result of the return of the Brazilian.
