Zlatan Ibrahimovic slammed Kylian Mbappe over Real Madrid transfer decision last summer.
In the Real Madrid camp, Kylian Mbappe has recently become a hot subject due to shocking rumours that he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain during the forthcoming January transfer window.
The rumors quickly subsided, though, since it seems Real Madrid has no desire to acquire the forward. Later, Mbappe disproved the reports and reiterated his intention to stay at PSG.
The Frenchman, however, has recently come under fire from none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The attacker has come under fire from the former PSG superstar for choosing to stay at PSG rather than transfer to Real Madrid earlier in the summer.
Ibrahimovic (h/t CANAL+) claimed that Mbappe’s decision to remain at PSG was not the best one for him. Mbappe’s contract extension at PSG, in the opinion of the Swede, made him bigger than the team, which is never a good indication for any footballer.
When you lose your discipline, you lose your identity, the speaker continued. “Mbappé stayed and established himself in a situation where he is greater than the club.”
There have been rumors about Mbappe and the PSG board having a strained relationship, particularly after the club decided against bringing in a center-forward in the summer. According to reports, the star is also unhappy with several of his colleagues, notably Neymar.
These factors were a major factor in stoking rumors about his future. The French international, though, seems destined to stay at PSG for the foreseeable future now that Real Madrid is out of the running for his signature.
